Anyone who works with food has a special responsibility for safeguarding the health of consumers and to ensure that the food they serve or sell is safe to eat. The CIEH enables us, as course providers, to supply effective, efficient and comprehensive food safety training to our learners.

Who is the course for?

This qualification is specifically targeted at any one working in a catering setting where food is prepared, cooked and handled eg, food processing plant, care home, nursery and café.

What is the course outline?

The course provides:

  • The importance of food safety and knowledge of systems, techniques and procedures involved
  • How to control food safety risks (personal hygiene, food storage, cooking and handling)
  • Gain the confidence and expertise to safely deliver quality food to customers

How long is the course?

The two day course runs 09.30-14.00, on Wednesday and Thursday. These are available monthly.

What are the entry requirements?

To take part in the course you must be over the age of 18. Also, you need to have the ability to understand spoken and written English.

Yes. You will need to have an appointment with an advisor.
