This summer at JobChange we are offering a range of courses that will help anybody become more employable because after all, qualifications open doors. These courses are free of charge and are open for anyone whose interested and is 18 years old +. Here are the courses available and a little bit about them:
City & Guilds – Entry Level 3 Award/Certificate for IT Users.
This course aims to meet the needs of candidates who work, or want to work, with computers and have little or no experience with IT. It also allows candidates to learn, develop and practice the skills to gain confidence that will help them return to learning, or may be required for employment and/or career progression where IT use will be needed. It also provides valuable accreditation of skills and/or knowledge for candidates without requiring, or proving, occupational competence.
City & Guilds – Level 1 City & Guilds Health & Safety in the Construction Industry.
This Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment qualification is for learners wishing to apply for the Construction Skills Certification Scheme Green Card. The CSCS Green Card is intended for those working in laboring occupations only. Since July 2014 CSCS has introduced introduce a new requirement for applicants to achieve a formal knowledge based qualification, the ‘Health and Safety in a Construction Environment’ Award. Achievement of this award will demonstrate the applicant understands key issues affecting safe working practices on UK construction sites.
CIEH – Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in Health and Social Care.
This qualification is specifically targeted at people working or looking for work in hospitals and care homes in the public and private sectors. This qualification provides candidates with a good understanding and knowledge of health and safety in the health and social care sector. This qualification also has the flexibility to suit differing client needs.
CIEH – Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering.
Everyone who works with food has a special responsibility for safeguarding the health of consumers and ensures that the food they serve or sell is perfectly safe to eat. So therefore this course gives the candidates a firm grasp of the importance of food safety and knowledge of the systems, techniques and procedures involved. An understanding of how to control food safety risks (personal hygiene, food storage, cooking and handling) and also the confidence and expertise to safely deliver quality food to customers.
UKATA – Asbestos Awareness.
Asbestos awareness training should be given to employees whose work could possibly disturb the fabric of a building and expose them to asbestos or who supervise or influence the work. It is a legal requirement that all who may come across asbestos in their day to day work have been provided with asbestos awareness training. If they will intentionally work on asbestos they must have had appropriate training specific to the tasks they will undertake.
CPD – Online Customer Service Training Course.
This online Customer Service Course is designed to help anyone who works or wants to work in customer service improve their customer service skills in order to provide each customer with the best possible experience every time. This includes all employees who deal directly with customers face-to-face, over the telephone or by e-mail.
